Construction activity is scheduled this week for Thursday, January 5 and Friday, January 6, weather permitting, requiring lane closures on Old Redwood (ORH) to install two poles for the Emergency Vehicle Pre-emption project. Lane closures on ORH are necessary on the south and north side of ORH between the US 101 on and off ramps and Lakewood Drive (work zone is indicated in purple). The plan is to do one pole at a time, implementing necessary and elaborate Traffic Control (TC) first for one side, followed by the work, followed by the removal of TC. This sequence will be repeated for the other pole. Work is expected to be complete by 3pm on Thursday, January 5. On Friday, January 6, the plan is to reconstruct part of the sidewalk that was removed on the south side of ORH just west of the northbound off ramp. PG&E will be working on the same days in front of the Holiday Inn on overhead utilities for the hotel project.
